There’s a real UK energy-price problem. The meme just ruins it with the conclusion. UK industrial electricity has indeed been extraordinarily expensive. But household electricity isn’t the world’s most expensive, UK gas is comparatively cheaper, and having hydrocarbons underground doesn’t make them free to extract. Then comes the magic leap: therefore corruption. No evidence. No causal chain. Just a conclusion pasted onto some selectively chosen facts.

UK hasn't been sitting on abundant oil/gas for 20 years we're a net importer of both, & North Sea output is down two-thirds. High prices are mostly about how the electricity market is priced off gas, plus island/grid constraints. Structural issues, not really a corruption story

Incorrect it’s because of unreliable ‘renewables ‘ which have to have a reliable gas backup online constantly so we are paying twice for the energy we use
