Bitget gehört seit Jahren zu den großen Kryptobörsen – und jetzt hat es auch sie erwischt.
Laut Bitget wurden bei einem Angriff rund 351,6 Mio. $ aus Teilen der Hot- und Warm-Wallet-Infrastruktur abgezogen.
Die Cold Wallets sollen laut Börse nicht betroffen sein. Auszahlungen wurden vorsorglich pausiert.
Der wichtige Punkt:
Bitgets eigener User Protection Fund liegt aktuell bei über 464 Mio. $ und soll den gesamten Verlust abdecken. Nutzerbestände seien laut Bitget weiterhin vollständig geschützt.
Für mich heißt das trotzdem: Sobald Auszahlungen wieder freigegeben sind, erstmal testen und Risiken verteilen. Größere langfristige Bestände gehören für mich ohnehin auf Hardware-Wallets – oder man nutzt bei Börsen zusätzliche Schutzmechanismen wie OKX Shield.
Kein Grund für Panik. Aber wieder eine Erinnerung: Not your keys, not your coins.

Watch out This evening is going to be interesting!
Most people have no idea what's about to happen today.
🇺🇸 Fed Chair Kevin Warsh will deliver a speech at Jackson Hole today, the biggest annual Fed meeting.
This is 10x bigger than the FOMC, as it'll tell exactly what the Fed thinks of the economy, interest rate, unemployment, AI, and even crypto.
This means that anything Warsh says today will not only impact the market today but also affect the coming weeks and even months.
If you are long, you should pray that Warsh talks about rate cuts and inflation cooling.
If you are short, you should hope for Warsh to talk about rate hikes.
