Two days. Seven cities. Eight stops.  Our Southwest Minnesota tour was about showing up, listening, and meeting great Minnesotans. I’m grateful for every conversation and every community that welcomed us.

Day 2 of our Southwest Minnesota tour included a diner in Pipestone, a coffee house in Worthington, a steakhouse in Windom, and a community room in Madison Lake. Across our two days in Southwest, we heard how Minnesotans in these great cities feel left behind by politicians. I have a message for you, Southwest Minnesota. I will not let your communities be ignored. I’ll take your concerns with me to Washington and make sure your voices are heard.

Today there was an incredibly important Senate hearing on protecting women’s sports. Not one Democrat showed up. Do not call yourself a women’s-rights advocate if you refuse to show up when it matters most. America’s daughters are watching. They deserve leaders who will defend Title IX and fight for their future.

Great day for the 72nd North Star Expo in Grand Rapids today. I met the region’s best in the logging and trucking industries! Our forest products industry is the fifth-largest manufacturing sector in Minnesota, supporting over 72,000 jobs. They will have my full support in the U.S. Senate.
