Republicans allowed Democrats and their media allies to waste years of President Trump’s first term with the fake Russiagate hoax. As Democrats are once again waving the Russia canard, we can’t afford to make that same mistake again. Let’s start with the facts. First and foremost, no president has done more to stand up to Russia and their allies in China and Iran than President Trump. Anyone attempting to call that into question is simply ignoring the facts. Secondly, there is no equivalence between Donald Trump Jr, a successful private citizen, and Hunter Biden, a drug addict who was subpoenaed following a litany of well-documented evidence that he was directly selling access to his dad’s administration. Don Jr is a private citizen and businessman. Like any other law-abiding American, he has the right to invest in companies. Despite the baseless media attacks, there is no evidence that Don has ever sold access to the President, abused his relationship on behalf of his business partners, or broken any law. I couldn’t care less who throws a private citizen a wedding after-party. Subpoenas of presidential family members must pass a high bar. We can’t let the Senate become a partisan tool used to harass private citizens in pursuit of political points. Republicans must learn the lessons of the past, we can’t fall prey to Russiagate 2.0.

Free speech and debate are the antidote to this. That’s why what our @TPUSA chapters are doing on college campuses is so important. Students should be taught to challenge diverse viewpoints intellectually, not with violence. Charlie said that when people stop talking to each other, really bad things start to happen. We have to get back to a culture where we can disagree on the issues without ever seeing violence as an option.

Charlie once said we should be building two statues for every statue that they tear down. His instinct was always to build, not to destroy. They thought a bullet would silence my husband’s voice but it only made it louder. They think spray paint can obscure his legacy, but it will only spread it further. Every attempt to tear down what Charlie built makes us root deeper and work even harder. And if you think crossing out the name of Jesus Christ will silence Christians, history has already proved you wrong. We know what it costs to stand firm for Christ and we will stand anyway. God will not be mocked. We’ll put His name right back where it belongs, clean up the mess, restore Charlie's statue, and keep building. We will never give up and never surrender.

Every step in this process carries the weight of all that Charlie’s murder has taken from his family, especially his children who will grow up without their father. We are grateful to all who have continued to pray for us, support us, and stand with us through a year of unimaginable grief. As the next phase of the judicial process begins, our family remains united in our love for Charlie, our commitment to the pursuit of justice, and our prayer for a transparent and timely process.
