What do you think about the theory that Trump started this to get more buyers for U.S. oil? I didn't come up with the theory, but I heard it somewhere else.

I don't think trump does anything to help Americans. He's only concerned about enriching himself and his family. And it's too easy for him, because his idiotic followers don't care, and cowardly Republicans are too spineless to stop him.
