Yes, Scripture teaches that hell is real and that judgment is real. The fear of God is also a biblical reality. But the foundation of the Christian’s relationship with God is not, “I don’t want to go to hell.” It is: “I love my Father. He loved me, saved me, showed me mercy, and gave Himself for me. Therefore, I want to live for Him.” So Christianity is not merely about escaping punishment. It is about being reconciled to God and living in a relationship of love with Him.📌
