Hospital waits and lockdowns were real. Elective and follow-up work slipped. A propaganda line treats MAGA as dirt and “mostly peaceful protests” as social justice, while Hollywood ceremonies, galas, elite fundraising, and legacy media tell us how we must feel.
They told us borders were racist. Gatherings were illegal. The unvaccinated were killing people. Abortions and pronouns protected women and children. They called police or feds on living rooms and church worship. They pretended benefits were free and that the top earners would just pay more. They told us we did not need a gun while they walked inside armed details. They told us to cut our carbon while private jets stayed on the ramp. They warned about sea levels and bought coastal property. They told you to stay home and sat down to public indoor dinners while small businesses were crushed. That is rules for thee, not for me, sold as progressive feminist virtue.
Same window: Title 42 fights and record southwest encounters while COVID rules still bound legal residents. Caravans moved. 2020 riot damage ran into the billions in insured losses. We saw the border influx and went around blocked streets and followed six foot rules in pharmacies and stores. Legal households ate rent, power, and food. State assistance systems in New York, Minnesota, Arizona, and California saw documented fraud spikes in pandemic aid. Street camps grew. Fentanyl and human trafficking did not pause for a briefing.
The information file is on the record. The Hunter Biden laptop was real. The FBI’s social-media warning letters and the Twitter Files showed coordinated pressure on COVID dissent, the laptop, the border story, and conservative voices. Equity language treated biology and equal protection as optional. Preferred outcomes by race and sex ideology are not the 14th Amendment. That is socialist sorting with a hashtag, not a republic.
Votes exist. House Democrats opposed H.R. 2. Party-line fights followed on the Laken Riley Act, the SAVE Act, sex-offense deportation language, campus antisemitism measures, and ICE funding. They shrugged at Iryna Zarutska. BLM’s published platform included divestment from police and prisons. Harris’s June 2020 tweet promoted the Minnesota Freedom Fund during the riot window.
Pardons and money are paper. Biden’s preemptive clemency covered J6 committee, staff, officers that testified, Hunter crimes, family to Burisma scandals and allies. Fauci’s pardon was reported as reaching back across his federal tenure to 2014. USAID sent large sums into files where inspectors later flagged waste, fraud, or partners hostile to equal rights for women.
The screenshots are the caste: armed details, jets, beach houses, indoor dinners, “threat to the soul,” defund the paradigm, convict Trump first, chip in for bail. Meidas, Lincoln Project, and the amplifier stack sold it as grassroots. Soros-scale media money and Hoffman-scale donor politics are the volume. The laptop, the riots, and the border were the test. They failed it on purpose.
A republic is equal rights, equal opportunity, and equal responsibility for citizens and legal residents. Records over theater. Victims over herstory that rewrites the founding. No entitlement to other people’s labor and money as subsidies for people who reject the rules that built a civilized society.

Indivisible runs No Kings and the Oct 17 vote early days. Open Society put multimillion general support grants into Indivisible. Tides hosted the early charitable arm. Arabella linked funds sit in the same pass-through layer as Ford, Rockefeller, Hewlett, and Packard money for climate, migration, and racial equity work. Reid Hoffman’s Investing in US backed Indivisible’s Truth Brigade. Hoffman also helped seed MeidasTouch, the PAC turned media shop that feeds JoJoFromJerz, BrooklynDad_Defiant, Occupy Democrats, and the rest. That is 990s and grant databases.
Put that next to the 250th year of the Declaration. The founding claim is a sovereign people, a constitutional republic, equal protection of the laws, and citizenship that is not an open invitation with no border. “All are welcome” as governing rhetoric is a program. Expand the electorate, recast legal status as optional, and treat dissent as illegitimate.
Mamdani is the local face of that program. Qatari state cultural arms under Sheikha Al-Mayassa bankrolled years of his mother Mira Nair’s films, including the full budget of The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The same royal later boosted his mayoral run online. Family adjacent soft power, not a check to his campaign. He still ran with the coalition that treats Israel as the problem and “from the river to the sea” as solidarity. BLM’s original platform and the post-Oct 7 street alignment sit in that stack. He shared stages with Hasan Piker and Abdul El-Sayed. Piker said “America deserved 9/11,” later called the wording dumb, and said Oct 7 barbarism would not change his view of “the resistance.” That is contempt for the country whose anniversary they are rewriting.
The economic piece is the same product. Subsidy heavy “justice” agendas, energy mandates, open ended legal defense and migration spending were sold as repair. Working families of every race paid the inflation bill.
Mamdani in 2020: the NYPD is “racist, anti-queer and a major threat to public safety. What we need is to #DefundTheNYPD.” Same year: “Defund it. Dismantle it.” "Queer liberation means defund the police.” In 2022 he still wanted 1,300 officers cut by attrition, overtime ended, hiring frozen, and about $3 billion shifted to social programs.
That is the Movement for Black Lives platform in local clothes: reparations, invest-divest from police and prisons, community control, migrants including the undocumented as a core constituency. “Safety and justice hand in hand” is campaign polish. The older demand was to shrink the state’s capacity to punish.
Federal policy ran the same script. Biden EO 13985 and EO 14091 ordered agencies to advance racial equity, write Equity Action Plans, create DEI offices, and tie grants to those metrics. Group outcome management, not equal protection of persons under one law. Trump’s January 2025 orders 14148 and 14151 revoked them.
The USA 250th fight is not tone. It is whether citizenship and criminal law are equal for legal residents, or whether hiring, policing, and budgets are rerouted by race, gender identity, and migration status until the founding rules are the problem. Mamdani can praise the NYPD after he needed votes. The paper trail still matches invest-divest, not 1776.
