The Law Society of Kenya held a meeting with partners from Bowmans. The courtesy call was full of energy and big ideas. Three areas stood out: Artificial Intelligence, Legal Aid, and Law Reform. Artificial Intelligence: AI is no longer a future conversation for law. It is here now, changing how we research, advise, and serve clients. No one institution has all the answers, which is why collaboration matters. Legal Aid: LSK is building a stronger, more structured approach to access to justice. Bowmans shared valuable lessons on running a well-resourced, sustained pro bono practice. We are also exploring ways to recognise advocates who lead in Legal Aid, so more of the profession joins in. Law Reform: We are shifting from reacting to Bills after they reach the House, to engaging earlier in the legislative process. That is where input actually shapes outcomes. With Legal Technology & Innovation Week and Legal Awareness Week coming up, one thing is clear: the future of the profession will be built by institutions bold enough to learn from each other.
