Stefan's own view (in private, which he won't ever air in public) is MCFC always asked Abu Dhabi for cash and then tried to make it look legit after the fact. So nothing to see here? I'll look forward to him addressing this on his next TalkSport appearance.

Lots of MCFC fans have tried & succeeded in pile-ons against me, not least @PrestwichBlue @city_rabin @GaryJamesWriter @slbsn. They were merely biased, ignorant, ill-informed. I hold no grudge.

One question I really want answering: did Pep also have two contracts, like Mancini, to help City cook their books? When Pep was hired, nobody knew about Mancini's two contracts. Why *wouldn't* City pull the same stunt again with Pep when they thought they got away with Mancini?

A piece from 15 yrs ago, Nov 2011, predicting Man City would fail Uefa's FFP. Table with all the numbers at the bottom of that. There was NO WAY, ever, MCFC were going to legitimately stay within the rules. Always clear that cheating would be required.

RIP Lottie, 2012-2026, and the best footballing dog I've known, as well as a great companion. Who knew that losing a pet could feel so devastating?
Lottie’s first love, above flying, is football. She despairs at the greed & commercialisation of the modern game & would rather it remained a simple past-time for fitness & camaraderie. Still her ambition to be the first dog to play in the Premier League.

Just catching up with 70 Up. First starting watching when it was 28 Up. What an extraordinary series, now 63 years old. This scale of story-telling will never be repeated. Cannot recommend any TV show this year more highly.
