In 2019, Virginia McCullough in Essex, UK, did the unspeakable. She poisoned her dad, John, and savagely bludgeoned her mom, Lois, with a hammer and stabbed her. Rather than call the police, she concealed the bodies in their dwelling, her father buried with breeze blocks and her mom concealed beneath bedclothes in a wardrobe. She kept up the illusion that her parents were still alive for the next four years and informed friends and authorities that they were ill or away travelling. In the meantime, she continued to draw their pensions and amassed huge debts on their behalf using their identities and spent freely their money. The cover-up was exposed in 2023 when a worried GP questioned the parents’ long absence. The police found the mummified bodies in the house when they looked into their absence.
