Replying to @Chase
@Chase How can you let one of your customers file TEN chargebacks against THREE people for money they earned and give him ANY of the money back? You are enabling people to hire others, get the work, and then take their earnings away. THIS IS FRAUD and WRONG! @ChaseSupport

ALT Does Chase VISA flip a coin to decide who wins chargeback cases? IDENTICAL proof in four cases - won two, lost two. How is that possible? Are there no objective standards? Having five witness statements with LinkedIn, email, phone from vendors, contractors, other freelancers + transcripts of meetings run during the time period + screenshot showing admin access, calendars showing sales calls, 34 payments since 2017 and you let him get away with "not authorized? You are enabling fraud. As the economy gets worse and people realize how easy it is to pay workers and buy products and services and then just do chargebacks to get it all back, this problem will spiral out of control. Why is there no mediation? No way to contact anyone at Chase directly. This is simply wrong and anyone with a conscience should know that.

We have credit card companies that enable their customers to blatantly and repeatedly commit fraud and perpetrate wage theft of hundreds of hours of labor. One guy, 11 times, against 3 people, for $15,750! And we cannot even get them to talk to us about it.
Why does everything feel fake? We have a Congress that won't pass something 83% people want. We have courts that release criminals faster than police can arrest them. We have schools that graduate kids who can’t read. We have colleges that charge $200K for degrees that don’t get you jobs. We have a non-profit system that profits from our tax dollars. We have a health care industry that profits from you staying sick. We have “representatives” who don’t represent us. We have “news” networks that report opinions and call them facts. We have an insurance industry that fights every single claim. None of it works the way they tell you it works. And deep down, everyone knows it. It just all feels so so fake…

My fellow writers created a GoFundMe because they know the whole story of what is going on and they're worried about me, the horses, and the ducks. Thank you in advance if you want to help by donating or sharing—every bit of help makes a difference. gofund.me/7c4ce8a6e

Checking our clients' digital PR campaigns we did 6+ months ago, I am seeing them become the top cited sources for LLMs, even for pretty huge sites. There's, of course, a lot into that (apart from the fact that LLMs do love citing stats): ✅ Solid organic findability (direct correlation with citability. PR projects that didn't end up ranking well in Google are not cited that well) ✅ Strategic (and ethical) seeding on Reddit I've seen many studies that LLMs seem to "trust" sources that regularly publish authority-driving content (original research, whitepapers, etc). Whether it is because they are like people (original research makes people believe a site is kind of a big deal) or because of all other signals (mainly, organic search visibility), but it surely works! Bottom line: If you want to get cited by LLMs, invest in original research in your niche!

I just had the craziest customer service experience at the airport Last night we stayed at the Four Points hotel in Salt Lake City. We had an early morning flight and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the airport. Traveling with 3 kids means your mind is scattered in a million pieces. So when the shuttle dropped us off at the airport at 4:15am, I realized I forgot my glasses I’ve had glasses since 5th grade and I’m pretty much dependent on them for everything (driving, working, etc.). This is also my only pair because apparently I haven’t learned my lesson enough times When I realized I forgot them, I immediately called the hotel and explained what happened. The front desk attendant asked for my room number and if I was still at the airport. “No problem. I’ll find them and have the shuttle driver bring them over.” Instant relief 15 minutes later I get a call saying the driver was on his way with my glasses and I should meet him outside Sure enough, Allen, the shuttle driver for the Four Points by Sheraton was there with my glasses. One of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel front desk attendant could have offered to ship them or even tell me I was out of luck. But instead she went to my room, found my glasses, and sent the driver to find me at the airport. @sheratonhotels you’ve got a good crew working for you at the Four Points in SLC. Thank you!

Chargeback system is seriously broken. Good luck reporting it to credit card companies. Unless you're a current client they won't help. Thieves should be arrested not enabled. Come on @Shopify @ShopifySupport Can't you escalate this?
A customer just won a fraudulent chargeback for $4,603.00 USD stating he didn't receive the product We have every single shred of evidence against him that this is just plainly false and fraud: - Complete communication log: 10 email threads from 6 months of documented correspondence showing the customer was satisfied, received the product and that the team ALWAYS responded to his questions or concerns in a timely manner with a resolution - PLUS signed proof of delivery receipt Now shopify is telling us, as I quote, these are the only options of what I can do: "Report the customer to your local authorities to create an official record. Consider pursuing civil action, such as small claims court, where your evidence will be valuable. Report the customer's card to Visa or Mastercard to flag repeat offenders. Block the customer from your store to prevent future orders." This so high tier bullshit @Shopify Anyone ever filed a lawsuit against a customer? Would love to get some advice into what to do here

Credit card companies need to stop siding with customers committing fraud. They are encouraging them to keep doing it. There need to be legal penalties for chargeback theft. We have an ex-client who filed 10 fraudulent chargebacks against 3 different people totaling $13,750.

Make that $15,750. He filed another one. TEN are with @Chase VISA and of four with identical proof, they decided two with and two against. Every case has a list of all 11 chargebacks so how can they not see the OBVIOUS FRAUD involved? One lost case is with @AmericanExpress

Good news children!
Stop Killing Games says it has won a major victory after joining Mozilla, Proton, Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders, and several major VPN providers to oppose UK plans that could have restricted VPNs. The UK government has confirmed it will not ban or require age checks for VPNs. Instead, it will focus on other ways to stop children from bypassing online age checks, while recognizing that VPNs are important for privacy and security. SKG says this is part of its wider campaign against parts of the UK’s Online Safety Act. The group believes internet restrictions and software age checks could make it harder to support mods, private servers, Linux, independent software, and game preservation. @StopKilingGames

I crossed 7 million views on LinkedIn. A couple of interesting things: 1. I don't use LinkedIn analytics as a main indicator. I don't check it very often. I use positive qualitative signals: - post/comments where people tag me, - direct messages, - inbound requests from LinkedIn, - direct playbook sales. 2. It's very tricky with likes and views. It's possible to have big numbers but have 0 customers. A lot of people with big audiences post superficial content and get a lot of likes. And nobody will tell you about the real numbers. 3. If you don't use any engagement groups and tricks, your engagement can be very different. I have posts with 40 likes. I have posts with 400 likes. And I have posts with 1500+ likes. And that's normal. 4. Viral posts constitute the majority of this impression growth. But you can grow your audience and be profitable without virality. 5. Social proof posts (like testimonials from previous clients or case studies) bring the lowest number of views/likes. BUT they perform well to bring real results. 6. I don't follow a lot of best practices. I could have more views and likes. Maybe even sales. But I do what works for me (personally and professionally). 7. LinkedIn is a long game. And time-consuming, too. If someone with a big audience tells you that they spend 15 min on LinkedIn, they're lying. Engaging with others takes time. Responding to comments takes time. Creating good content takes a lot of time.

Still true today. If people expect to be mentioned in AI, they need to be quotable. Put actual quotes into your content so that writers can use them to link to you and include you in content. And if you have original media, make it easy for writers to republish w/ attribution!

I wonder how many are aware that AI Agents must be able to solve issues autonomously or they aren't really AI Agents? Thanks for sharing, Julie @NewHorizons123
A good AI agent isn't just a chatbot. For customer service, it can handle volume, cut costs, and help smaller teams hold their own against bigger brands. Here's what it actually does and how to pick one. allbusiness.com/ai-agents-fo…

My latest article for AllBusiness clarifies what a true AI agent is. Way too many AI tools that are not autonomous claim to be AI agents. Find out how to tell the difference and what questions to ask before you buy so you can choose wisely.
