@Helen_whately I take it that you know, Universal Credit is also an in work benefit! This is because politicians like yourself have destroyed the economy. Wages in the UK don't cut it!

Not enough people seem to be grasping that you can still be WORKING and receive universal credit.
You can still be WORKING and be entitled to PIP.
Many, many people want to work- the issue is that successive govts have hammered small businesses. Meaning pay has to be topped up. At the same time, nearly two decades of austerity have defunded the very interventions in early years that would stop people experiencing unemployment.
You can't gurn about "the benefits bill" and then cut the tripe out of the very employers expected to employ them whilst removing policy interventions on early years & support. Honestly, this place is a mess but the reasons why and how to fix it are not rocket science. Yet, here we are.
