Oh dear. The agenda is clear enough. The medical profession is thought to be no longer required by the management class in the NHS. It’s bizarre to be saying this but I can draw no other conclusion. The professional identity since 18th century no longer needed. Ok then.

3 year masters vs 5-6 years med school plus foundation training. If they were equivalent, the payslip would say so. I keep hearing the equivalence talk and it's just cost-saving with better PR.

I am so glad the BMA are finally taking this issue seriously. Pts are *not* aware who they are being seen and treated by.
Concerns have been raised across the medical profession about unhelpful and inappropriate blurring of the distinction between doctors and non-medically qualified staff.

This sentence in NHS Scotland’s new IPC guidance is a damning illustration of the sheer incompetence & ignorance of those who wrote it:
“RPE should never be worn by an infectious person as the respirator filters incoming air & not the air being expelled by the wearer”
